The Audi skysphere concept¹ is the first in a family of Audi concept cars. The cars were developed with one goal: to envision an automotive future where the car becomes an interactive space and experience device. The electric two-door roadster combines the vision of automated² driving, a revolutionary new interior design and a fully integrated digital ecosystem.In “Grand Touring” automated driving mode2, the steering wheel and pedals disappear and all occupants enjoy the kind of legroom and freedom of movement familiar from first-class air travel

The doors are rear-hinged. This makes it possible to shift the body and frame components in the front end of the vehicle by 25 centimeters. In active “Sports” mode the Audi skysphere concept1 is an agile sports car measuring 4.94 meters in length.

The rear, which has been optimized in a wind tunnel, combines the classic streamlined elements of a roadster with large glass sections.

Like at the front, the rear design also features a digitally controlled LED panel across the entire width of the vehicle. Among other things, the light effects indicate the mode in which the concept vehicle is driving.
